Is there a minimum order for home delivery?

A $50 minimum order is required for home delivery. A $6 delivery fee will apply. Orders over $100 will get free delivery.

I have a food restriction. Can I still order from you?

Absolutely! Many of our meals are gluten and dairy free, and these items will be marked as such. If you are logged into the website, please be sure to complete the dietary preferences form before placing your order. We have a separate packaging person creating all of our specialty meals.

However, please know that we are not a certified gluten-free, nut-free or dairy free kitchen, so some cross-contamination is possible. Our chefs are trained to prepare food based on your dietary needs, however, if you have any severe allergies, there is nowhere safer than your own kitchen.

Can I get my meals delivered every day?

Meals are delivered on Sundays and Mondays.

Can I get delivery for less than five meals?

The minimum order required for home delivery is 5 meals. If you would like to order less than five meals, you can do so by ordering for pickup at any of our delivery locations in the Pittsburgh area.

What time will my meals arrive on Sunday?

All of our meals are delivered between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sundays. If you are not home when your Pittsburgh Fresh meal arrives, the driver will leave your box on the porch. All of our deliveries are packaged with ice packs and packaging materials that will keep your meals fresh until you get home!

What time will my meals arrive on Sunday?

I won’t be home Sunday to get my delivery. What are my options?

We have you covered! Some of our customers have their meals delivered to their offices on Monday. You also are welcome to have your order delivered to one of our many delivery locations to pickup at your leisure!

I forgot to order meals for this week. Do you have any leftover meals I can buy?

You are able to buy our past week’s meals at three separate gyms: Faster Pittsburgh Southpointe, Faster Pittsburgh Robinson, and Mecka Fitness in Mt. Lebanon. We are unable to guarantee which meals will be available, but there will be a variety at each location. All of those meals are first come, first served. Please make sure to call the location for availability before heading over.

If I get a subscription, do I have to order every week?

No! You can change, pause, and cancel at anytime. If you do not wish to place an order for the following week, please be sure to pause your subscription or let us know. However, your subscription dollars will roll over and we will pause your account for you when you still have 50% or more of your subscription amount unused!

If I get a subscription, do I have to use all my credits every week?

No! You are welcome to order as many or as little meals per week as you would like. We only charge your subscription once it is less than 50 percent of your subscription value.

Can I recycle my delivery box, liner and ice packs?

Absolutely! This is the beauty of ordering from a local company. We do not use third party delivery drivers. All of our drivers are Pittsburgh Fresh employees, who will not throw your boxes over the curb. =) Please leave your box, foil liner and icepacks outside of your house on Sunday morning, and we will pick them up when we drop off your meals on Sunday.

Can I recycle my meal containers?

You will not need to recycle them because they can go straight to the trash can. Most of our containers meet FDA standards for food contact and are gluten free. They are made from the wheat stalks, not from the food grain which stores the proteins and allergens. Even our lids might look like plastic, but they are NOT. They are made from PLA, a plant-based plastic that is 100% compostable.

What is the reheat instruction?

To reheat your food in the microwave: Please remove the lid from package and cover food with a paper towel. Lids are NOT microwavable. Reheat meals at high temperature, and repeat until desired temperature.

To reheat food in the oven: since all of the containers are made with plant-base material that is temperature sensitive, we recommend you transfer the food to an oven safe container.

Are you based in Pittsburgh?

Yes we are! We are born and raised in Brookline.. Our kitchen and office is located right on Brookline Boulevard, across from the cannon.

What days do you deliver?

Our team delivers between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Sundays and Mondays.

Do I have to be home to receive my order?

No, our food is delivered in a foil-lined box with ice packs to keep your food cool for 5-7 hours.

What is the delivery procedure?

Our driver will send a text message when he or she is on the way. Another message will be sent once the package is delivered. Standard text messaging fees may apply.

Can I order for my family members?

Yes! You can order from any part of the country for anyone in the Pittsburgh area. You also can send them gift cards if you don't know their specific dietary preferences. Buy a gift card here!

How long do the meals stay fresh?

We do not use any preservatives in our meals. All of our meals (except salads) are guaranteed fresh for five days after delivery. Salads are guaranteed fresh for four days after delivery, and we suggest enjoying your salads first! If you’d like to extend the life of your Pittsburgh Fresh meals, you can easily freeze your meals to enjoy at a later date.
